STAGES OF CHANGE IN THE EXTERIOR OF THE BUILDING

Looking from New Jersey Ave. at the side of the clubhouse. When the membership moved in Memorial Day weekend 1954. This structure was 32' wide and 65' long. The top section being of cinder block construction and the front & sides, brick with a rainbow corner. The front included a curved section built into the building. The property line of the plot of ground measures 40' by 100'

The first exterior addition was built on in 1962. A 16' structure added to the length with a width of 38'. The side facing New jersey Ave. is faced with brick and the rest of the construction built with cinder block. A coat room was constructed inside at ground level and a game room provided on the first floor level. This game room is named "The Harry Reibel Memorial Room." The members completely constructed this addition without assistance.

In 1973 a "roofline soffit" was installed by the members. Aluminum shingle type panels were installed to form a straight line from the old building to the new installation, including across the rear of the structure and the front. The curved section at the front of the building was knocked down and the building was built straight across with brick, inside and out.

A second floor was constructed on the rear addition in 1975. Wood framework was used with aluminum siding. This work was again, done by the membership. This second floor addition added a 38' by 16' space for game activities and office space. The club library is also housed upstairs.
